RESOURCES

The Isla Vista Community Services District supports renters by providing housing resources, information about tenant rights, and free mediation and legal guidance. These services can help students understand their leases, resolve conflicts with landlords or roommates, and find useful resources during the housing search and move-in process.

Isla Vista Community Services

UCSB Housing helps students by offering university housing beyond freshman year. Second-year students can apply to continue living in UCSB residence halls, giving them more time to adjust to college before searching for off-campus housing. Housing contracts also include furnishings, utilities, internet, housekeeping, and a meal plan. However, students should still apply by the deadlines because housing availability may be limited.

UCSB Houing

UCSB provides temporary emergency housing for students who do not have a safe or stable place to live. Eligible students may receive housing for up to 25 days, a meal plan, case management, and help finding a longer-term housing solution.
